The University of Oklahoma now bans any consumption of alcohol in dorms and fraternity houses, even by students of legal age. "Is this going to stop people from drinking?" asked a local police officer. "No. You are just displacing the problem somewhere else." The Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth at Georgetown University has found that: Youth exposure to alcohol advertising in magazines decreased by 31% between 2001 and 2004. In 2004, more than half of youth exposure to alcohol advertising in magazines came from 22 brands, all of which exposed youth to their advertising more effectively than adults.
