Arkansas Teen’s Alcohol Abuse Related Death At Party Investigated

Arkansas Detectives are investigating who may have supplied alcohol to a 15-year-old Fort Smith boy found dead early Saturday.

Miguel Perrault, a Darby Junior High student, was found dead by a friend at about 3:30 a.m. at a residence in the 2000 block of North F Street, Arkansas according to a police report.

Perrault's friend, Devin Williams, told police Perrault had been drinking shots of vodka at a party Friday night because it was his birthday. He said Perrault drank close to a fifth of vodka.

Williams told police he couldn't remember where the party was or who might have supplied the alcohol, according to the police report.

Perrault's sister-in-law drove Perrault and Williams at about 11 p.m. to the residence on North F Street.

Relatives and friends of Perrault helped him to a chair to sleep because he only sleeps sitting in a chair, the report states.

Williams fell asleep in the same room on the bed, but awoke at 3:30 a.m. and found it odd that Perrault was not snoring because he normally does so, loudly. He tried to wake up Perrault, who he said felt "cold to the touch."

When he could get no response, Williams woke up Perrault's family members, who called 911.

Perrault was transported to Sparks Regional Medical Center where he later was pronounced dead, according to the report.
