New Jersey - Jersey Shore star Snooki was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning
NEW JERSEY - Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was rushed to a Miami hospital during the filming of the show's second season in May, according to startling new revelations from RadarOnline.
Polizzi was reportedly so drunk that she had to physically carried out of a Miami nightclub by Jersey Shore producers. She was then taken to a nearby hospital where she was reportedly treated for alcohol poisoning.
While details of her treatment weren't disclosed, people with alcohol poisoning typically get their stomachs pumped or gastric lavage, where the stomach is washed out using a saline solution.
"Snooki was out of commission for about two days and was left in pain after undergoing the hospital treatment,” says a source.
ARRESTED FOR PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS IN JULY
The 4'9" Snooki, who previously revealed she almost died from anorexia a few years ago, has long had issues with drinking too much.
On July 29, Polizzi was arrested in New Jersey for being public drunkenness and for being a "public nuisance.” After the arrest, Snooki vowed to cut back on drinking.
"It definitely embarrassed my family and that's just not good," Polizzi said in August 2010. "My dad was very, very pissed. Now when I go out, I only have a couple drinks. I learned that I need to calm down with drinking."
